  • Love my new island. At first the protective film from the stainless steel top left residue but it did clean off. Drawer isn't super smooth, but it's not terrible. Without the casters it really looks like a piece of furniture. I plan on gluing four bun-style furniture feet to the bottom to raise it to my counter height (without the casters the height is 32\

  • Bought this on a black Friday sale, so I was tempted to pay to have somebody else put it together; I'm really glad I didn't. I'm a veteran of Ikea and other RTA furniture and my pet peeves are getting a giant sack of components you have to sort, and tricky door hinges and drawer slides. When I opened the well packed and padded box there was a sheet with each of the components shrink wrapped and labeled. The directions referenced the labels so it was much easier to get started with assembly right away, and a couple extra screws were included which I liked. The directions were okay but not great--twice I had to do \

  • Ugh - so want to give it five starts but THE SMELL oh my gosh. I\u2019ve read reviews on amazon before if items arriving smelling of chemicals and needing to be aired out, but so far had never ha a problem with one. EXCEPTION FOUND. This product smelled sooo bad got sooo long. It took months to air out completely. We had to keep the doors and drawer open or else they wouldn\u2019t air out. Sometimes the items I store in there still come out smelling.

Why still four stars? Perfect in every other way. This was a higher quality and sturdier piece than I expected. The assembly was amazing, easy to follow and quick. The parts that are usually hardest on furniture assemblies were preassembled! I was THRILLED with how it looked, came together, quality, etc etc etc ...kept thinking the smell would fade so I avoided reviewing for a while. It took sooo long for it not to stink up our home.

  • A beautifully constructed and good looking cabinet for extra storage or use as an island and is great for storing mixing bowls and casserole dishes plus other utensils. However, I wish it were a couple inches bigger in both width\/depth and length, especially deeper so I could store a 13x9 inch baking dish in the width instead of the length and fit more items inside. The only complaint I have is that there is still a strong odor apparently from the paint or stain used that has not totally dissipated after a month, even though I aired the cabinet out by leaving it open before and again after filling it with my kitchen items. Therefore, although none of my bowls, dishes, or utensils seem to have absorbed the odor, I would not recommend storing food items in this cabinet.

  • More interior space than I thought it would have. Looks nice with one exception. The granite top had industrial glue on the right side edge. When we removed the glue which was wadded like a small piece of gum and very hard, the glue was there because the granite was damaged. It appears someone at the manufacturing site tried to fix it with A thick glue product. We are not taking it apart to send back, we will just keep in mind what company made this product. A three because someone tried to hide the damage with a glob of glue. That person had to know the consumer would take the glue off the granite edge revealing the damage. Had it been carefully glued we probably would never have noticed.
